Description  more details

The presentation card, shown here, contains a piece of wood that was retrieved from the site’s rubble where the notable “Big Watering Trough” restaurant once stood. The 200 or so year old adjoining water trough is still standing, functioning and being used by locals. The property is located a mile down the Summit Mountain along the northern side of the National Road, just east of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The intent of making this piece of the past available to those interested, is so that others, who value history, can have, hold and help carry forward the memory of America's past accomplishments, as well as its failures, so future generations will not forget the important part the United States played in shaping the world we know today! Included with the wood piece is a real U.S. Buffalo Nickel from the early 1900’s. It is a coin that would have been used to purchase items or services while traveling the National Road during the early nineteen hundreds. The presentation cards comes in a unique and informative folio with certificate of authenticity. *** The presentation card was created and put together by Mark Yarris, R.L.A. for Art In Time (www.artintimegallery.com). *** Packaging, graphics, logos, layouts, formats and construction methods are copyrighted, 2010 by Mark Yarris, R.L.A.
